What is Vomitboy

➤ Vomitboy is a Russian underground subculture that took shape in the early 2020s. The community brings together people who feel alienated from mainstream society, and is built on a specific sense of humor, local memes and recognizable personalities.

Origins
The founder and ideologist of the movement is considered to be Yaroslav Vomitov — a typical resident of the "lower internet" of the early decade. In 2021 he launched vomitboy.com, which became the central hub for shaping the aesthetic and consolidating its followers. The subculture peaked in 2021–2023; today activity lives on in themed Telegram channels and VK communities.

1. DIET 13

One of the community's memes, called "diet food", became the culinary core of the whole scene. These days the term means any food that triggers disgust — usually "Goryachaya Shtuchka" frozen convenience food, "Levushka detyam" candy, Krym Energy energy drink, pig ears and high-calorie food drowning in mayonnaise, plus assorted drinks with heavy residue and spoons left inside.

2. TAGS

Vomitboy is a person of high culture. Being rejected by society for a specific lifestyle and way of thinking is conducive to lofty thoughts.

The core of vomitboy culture is netstalking, building maps of finds, anime and video games. Over the years the mascots have been Burpboy (the sunflower Rygosha), the Creepy Hatsune Miku doll and the Mickey Mouse mug (RIP). The current mascot is VOMIT GF — a girl with green-and-black hair and pupils shaped like a double slash.
